Description:
My daily tasks require website maintenance, web banners, and creating website pages for the HERE Center at California State University, Northridge. Working with the CSUN system, Drupal (Web-One) has allowed me to enhance my markup and programming languages, reinforce my strong problem-solving skills, and be more attentive to details. I am constantly finding new ways to layout News, Event, and Landing pages so the user can be intrigued to click around. Though there are a variety of layouts that can be used, this management system is limited and tedious, therefore, this is a great and fun challenge.
Process:
The goal of these pages are for users to explore, discover, and learn more about the HERE Center. In order to do this, I reflect on previous pages that I have built and compare it to the new content I receive. The majority of the content tends to be very text heavy, however, I play around with images, text, and other materials to ensure the user has a better experience.
Outcomes:
The outcome of these pages is to make sure that the content is accessible, responsive, and creative while maintaining the brand’s consistency. Through a variety of pages and good word of mouth, I was able to create pages for different professors, labs, and organizations.
Event Pages
There are a variety of on-campus events that the HERE Center hosts, such as speakers, tabling events, and workshops. I use flyers and marketing materials to create the event pages.

News Article Pages
News article pages are used for recaps, articles, and important information that the HERE Center wants to promote. Here are some examples of the layouts that I’ve created. I try to use the images in different areas to balance it out with the heavy text.
